Root HTC Evo 4G Running Gingerbread 2.3

The guys at AndroidAuthority.com have posted a great tutorial on rooting your HTC Evo 4G running Gingerbread (aka Android 2.3). This process is just slightly more involved than the simple rooting methods in the past like Z4Root but is also one of the only ways so far to do it. They have made a great tutorial video they posted on YouTube and we have had confirmation from one of our readers that this method does work and at least for them, did not result in “bricking” the phone.
